Originally from Italy, the mandolin creates a popular sound in bluegrass and country music. Led by Ryan Joseph, participants in this beginner workshop will learn basic chords, strumming techniques, and a few tunes. Joseph is a member of Alan Jackson’s band, contributing fiddle, mandolin, and harmony vocals. A performing prodigy, he has also played with Billy Ray Cyrus, Vince Gill, Craig Morgan, Kacey Musgraves, and Bonnie Raitt. Come and strum with us! Mandolin’s provided, or bring your own.
This activity takes place in the Museum's Taylor Swift Education Center and is designed for guests ages 7 and up.
