*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 06/21/2018
Carter House and Carnton in Franklin, TN offer a history day camp where kids ages 8-12 can participate in fun activities focused on learning about history. During "Life in the 1800's" kids can travel back in time and explore history.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

During camp, kids have the opportunity to really step back in time. At the historic homes, Carter House and Carnton, they will learn about the families and people who lived on the farms and every aspect of their daily lives. They will play parlor games from the 1800's, make and taste period food, and play period sports - such as cricket! We'll even uncover how we learn about history today in an archeological dig.  This camp has kids learning everything from how to make butter to the quilts of the Underground Railroad.

Camps run from Tuesday, June 19th - Thursday, June 22nd 9:00am - 3:30pm.

Cost is $125.00 per child.

Sign up opens Feb. 1st and is first come, first serve.
