"Life as a Civil War Soldier" Camp at Battle of the Franklin Trust

A 3-day camp where kids can immerse themselves in Civil War history. They can learn marching drills, how to pack their knapsacks, and do mock amputations. It's a fun way to learn the basics of the Civil War and how it affected the United States. "Life as a Civil War Soldier" immerses kids into the Civil War. Learn what it is like to be a soldier in the armies, but also what it was like to be at home. Kids will learn about marching, camping, and soldiering with the daily lives of the average people in America during the war.

Walk on battlefield, read soldier's stories, and learn how the Civil War affected the entire country in the 1800's. And, its not just for boys - women played and extremely important role in the war too as soldiers, nurses, and running the homefront. This camp covers everyting from quick amputations to building forts.
This is a 3-day camp that runs from 9:00am - 3:30pm.
