Family Program: Songwriting 101, Holiday Style

Write a holiday song as a group in this introductory workshop. Using a few classics as inspiration, Nashville-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Adam Ollendorff will teach the fundamentals of songwriting, including form, imagery, rhyme scheme, and the Nashville tradition of co-writing. At the end, participants will sing and record their “co-write,” the group holiday song. Ollendorff has co-written songs with Jim Lauderdale, Keb’ Mo’, and Maren Morris, among others. Ages 7 and up. Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with museum admission. Free to museum members. Limited seating.
