GROW Enrichment Camp
The campers are divided by age groups to better facilitate collaborative, child-directed play. The camp day is focused on teaching core urban conservation principles through hands-on exploring and experiencing nature that grows a true love and affinity for nature. Getting your kids outside to explore all the wonders that nature has to offer, while also offering a fun-filled adventure, guarantees an unforgettable camp experience.
Our areas of focus are:
- urban forests,
- urban birds,
- and native bees.
Your kids will be hiking, exploring nature, encountering wildlife, and enjoying unstructured playtime in the beautiful Two Rivers Park.
Camp Session Age Descriptions:
Sessions Ages 5-8
GROW Enrichment Camp for ages 5-8 is focused on backyard habitats and urban conservation geared especially for young learners and explorers. The group will take short hikes and enjoy extended imaginative play times geared toward younger campers.
Sessions Ages 9-13
GROW Enrichment Camp for ages 9-12 is focused on conservation education for older learners. This older age group will take age-appropriate hikes that cover some distances. While campers will have plenty of opportunity for imaginative play, there will be a greater emphasis on the scientific process and on learning facts and details about the flora and fauna of the GROW Enrichment campus.
Sessions Ages 5-13
The mixed age group weeks of GROW Enrichment Camp will divide campers into two learning groups at times while also having some activities that bring all campers together. This allows sibling groups to attend camp together, while still offering age-appropriate learning environments. In addition, campers will have the opportunity to learn from and teach/mentor the other campers in the mixed age group setting.
Extended Care – Drop off as early as 7:45 am and pickup up until 5:15 pm. Weekly Extended Care can be purchased for $50 as an add-on during registration.
