Hermitage Homeschool Day: December

*The event has already taken place on this date: Wed, 12/16/2020
Americans celebrate holidays to share traditions and values. But different groups of people celebrate the same holiday differently, and this reflects larger differences in American society. For Americans of Andrew Jackson’s day, Christmas games, crafts, foods and decorations looked vastly different between the white slaveholding class and enslaved African-Americans. Join us for games, crafts, hot chocolate and special tours as we compare and contrast Christmas at The Hermitage! TICKETS REQUIRED.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Show us your best holiday masks! The Hermitage is following careful cleaning and social distancing practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including hand sanitizer stations, social distancing and requiring masks for staff and visitors.

Tickets must be purchased in advance on our website. Students under age 4 are free; students 4-13 are $11 each; adults are $18 each. Everyone must have a ticket for this event for headcount purposes. Tickets include a mansion tour and a self-guided grounds pass. Space is available for picnic lunches.
