Historic Rural Life Festival

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 05/10/2019
Held in May, this annual event is a great opportunity for children to discover the rural past of Tennessee, enjoy old-time activities, see honey bees in an observation beehive and touch farm animals too! Your group will see the crafts and chores that were a routine part of farm life before the advent of electricity. Butter churning, spinning, blacksmithing, weaving and pottery making are just a few of the activities. You can stop under shade trees for shingle making and wood-working activities with Tennessee State Foresters. Don't miss the sheep shearing! Admission is $3 per person for ages 2 and older, payable by cash or check. Unable to accept credit or debit cards. Please call (615) 837-5197 to make reservations for schools, organizations, or groups over five people.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
