Walking Sticks for All at Bledsoe Creek State Park

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 01/14/2022
Meet at the Visitor Center as we set out to find your own personal walking stick that you can later customize to your liking. Paracord and a Bledsoe Creek State Park hiking medallion will be provided to make your hiking stick official. We will discuss the type, size, and shape of tree/limb we should be looking for before we embark on our 2-to-3-mile hike.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Only downed or dead specimens will be considered for walking sticks and MUST be cleared by the ranger on our hike BEFORE any sawing occurs. Bow saws will be loaned out for cutting of walking sticks and shall be returned at hike’s end. Registration required at $10 per hiking stick.

*Times, dates, and prices of any activity posted to our calendars are subject to change. Please be sure to click through directly to the organization’s website to verify.
