Join local artist Jairo Prado for a hands-on exploration of Latin-American folk art traditions, this time in support of Nashville Reads, March 18, 2020! Patrons can participate in creating a community Quipus exhibit, aka talking knots.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Representing and honoring family members, they are symbolic visual documents originally used by the Incan civilization in South America. Just in time for Morales’s May 7 visit, Prado will present the community Quipus in a collaborative hanging rope installation, celebrating the colorful contributions of individuals and families that become NPL's own "Nashville Family Ropes."
