Lantern Parade with Discovery Center & RAA

Come light up the night at our 2nd annual Lantern Parade! This event, hosted by the Discovery Center and in collaboration with the Rutherford Arts Alliance, will take place at Gateway Island this year. Participants can bring their own lanterns from home or make a lantern on-site with our provided materials. There will be an hour of lantern-making before the parade. The parade itself will begin around 6:40pm and last until about 7:00pm. This event will feature live music. Food will be available to purchase on-site from a variety of local food trucks.

Science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) will come to life at events and activities across the state during the 6th annual Tennessee STEAM Festival, taking place Oct. 13-22, 2023.
The Festival was founded by the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring and incorporates events hosted by a wide range of museums, schools, community centers and other attractions. A complete listing of activities is available at TNsteam.org.
