Meet an Owl
Meet our non-releasable education owls and discover the varied habitats and adaptations of native owls.
Session II: 1:00-2:30 pm
Predators: Part of the Picture
This program promotes the understanding of predators, the adaptations for catching prey and why predators help maintain the delicate balance of nature.
Wednesday, March 9th
Session I: 10:00-11:30 am
Lifecycles: The Balance of Nature
When you figure out the food chain in an ecosystem, you can see how the animals, plants, and their habitat are connected. Meet one of our wildlife ambassadors and learn about their place in the ecosystem.
Session II: 1:00-2:30 pm
Reptile & Amphibian Discovery
Learn the differences between reptiles and amphibians. Participants will meet a reptile and an amphibian to learn about characteristics, diet, eggs, and adaptations.
General Information:
Limit 30 participants per session (this includes students, teachers, parents, and siblings). Minimum 15 participants required (buyout option available).
Cost is $7 per person per session. Children 2 and under are free.
Programs begin promptly at 10 am and 1:00 pm. Late arrivals may result in reduced programming. If you are bringing babies or small children, be aware that our trails are not designed for stroller, wagons or bikes; your child will have to walk or be carried.
Morning programs may be followed by lunch or a snack in our orchard picnic area at no additional charge. We are a carry-in/carry-out facility. Groups using the orchard picnic area must bring a trash bag to carry out your trash.

- Please observe social distancing while on-site. Maintain at least six feet of separation between you and others.
- Masks are required at Owl's Hill Nature Sanctuary for all visitors (ages 4+) anytime you are indoors, regardless of vaccination status. In general, masks are not required outdoors.
Helpful Checklist
- Dress for the weather. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for trail hiking.
- Bring a water bottle, bug spray and sunscreen.
- Pets are not permitted at the Sanctuary.
PAYMENT, REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY:
- REGISTRATION: Advance registration is required (no walk-ups). Registration closes 48 hours prior to program day.
- REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds for programs you cannot attend. You may transfer your registration to a family member or friend by contacting us in advance of the program date.
- CANCELLATION: Programs are rain or shine. We will, however, cancel a program if Williamson County is under a severe weather warning issued by the National Weather Service. Participants will be notified of cancellations by email. If a program is cancelled, you will receive a credit (valid for 30 days) toward another program or Day Pass admissions to come explore on your own.
