From morning to night, Cheekwood celebrates Black artists with dance, music, spoken word, and more. This event is an exploration of Black traditions and artistic expression in all forms, including musical performances, visual art, storytimes from local authors, and tasty fare from local Black chefs. Visitors can join in a collaborative art project, and enjoy hands-on activities inspired by the work of Black women artists, including Amy Sherald, Faith Ringgold, and more. In celebration of the 5th annual Black Arts Bash, we're excited to premier "Faces of the Community," a portrait exhibition featuring Nashville residents seen through the eyes of six local artists.
