CHEEKWOOD HARVEST
September 19 – November 1100,000 colorful pumpkins. Three whimsical pumpkin houses. Storybook scarecrows. A vibrant river of marigolds in full bloom. Celebrate the coziest season with outdoor fun, live entertainment, and the beauty of autumn at Cheekwood! Don’t miss Harvest NIGHTS each Thursday evening for autumn magic after dark, where you can see the glowing Jack-o’-Lantern Topiary, pumpkin carving by master carver Lundy Cupp, lawn games, specialty drinks, live music, and all the makings of a memorable outing for the whole family.

Fall means harvest season, and it brings out the best in our area farms. It's a wonderful, low-cost way to get outside in the fresh air, and get active with your families.

PICK YOUR OWN APPLES
One great way to get your kids to eat more fruit -- and introduce them to the subtleties of sweet/tangy tastes -- is by taking them apple picking to a local orchard. This link has places to go and things to do for a day in the orchard all around our area
