It is never too early to get started in music. In fact, research proves ample benefits of early music. ROOTS is launching a 12-week beginners music course designed to instill the fundamentals of music while inspiring students to explore their unique passion and musical ability. Striking solid musical bedrock begins right here! Our new Acorns course invites toddlers to enjoy musical games and song exploration with their parents or caregivers. ROOTS’ early education specialists will lead each group class in a variety of activities both fun and educational for everyone!

This program also introduces a wide variety of instruments to the students with both demonstrations and hands-on time. Throughout the course, the music mentor will make assessments of each student to help determine if he/she is ready to move on to our more advanced group class and where their individual strengths lie. After the final performance at the end of the course, some students will move into another class while others may benefit more from enrolling for another 12 weeks.

Culminating in a group performance for family and friends, the course introduces musical concepts like finding the beat, singing various pitches, and using dynamics. A variety of fun games, activities, and songs engage the young students and support exploration of music performance.
ROOTS popular Sprouts course takes preschoolers to a new level of musical exploration. Culminating in a group performance for family and friends, the course introduces musical concepts like finding the beat, singing various pitches, and using dynamics. A variety of fun games, activities, and songs engage the young students in the art of music performance.

unique passion and musical ability. Culminating in a group performance for family and friends, the course introduces concepts like the music alphabet, rhythmic patterns, and pitch recognition. A variety of fun group activities engage the young students while building a solid foundation for continuing music study in any instrument.
Music students of all types progress more easily when they’ve participated in song and movement-based activities that require little reading or memorization. Many students will successfully go on to study piano, drums, guitar, strings or voice! You get to choose!
Throughout the course, the music mentor will make assessments of each student to help determine if he/she is ready to move on to private lessons as well as where their individual strengths lie. After the performance, some students will move into private instruction while others may benefit more from enrolling for another 12 weeks.
