What would we do without water? Water is everywhere! In fact, the earth’s surface is 71% water. Join us and discover the importance of water through games and activities. We may even get a little wet! So make sure to bring a towel and water shoes.
Registration opens August 1st
September 26th – Location, location, location!
Getting from here to there can be difficult without a sense of direction. In this program you will gain some Map & Compass skills as well as learn how to use a handheld GPS. We will even search for a geocache right here in Bowie Park!
Registration opens August 29th
October 24th – Going Batty!
Bats are the only mammal that can truly fly. A lot of people think they are creepy, but we here at Bowie think they are amazing! Find out what is so wonderful about these winged mammals.
Registration opens October 3rd
November 21st – Seeds
Rolling, blowing, and being carried away. These are a few ways seeds travel. Seeds are abundant in the fall. Come collect some with us and find out how to identify them. We will also dissect a few and learn how they have evolved to be so good at getting around.
Registration opens October 31st
