Smartphones, tablets, and recording software have given the masses the power to record and produce music. In this introductory class, musician and educator Kayley Walker will teach participants the fundamentals of GarageBand music production software, including how to create a drum loop and add guitar and keyboard sounds. Participants will then work together to create their own original beats. Walker is a museum educator and singer-songwriter who has performed on NBC’s Today show. Headphones, iPads, and steel guitars provided, or bring your own. Recommended for ages seven and up. Taylor Swift Education Center. Limited seating. Included with museum admission. Free to museum members.
