Wearble Art Shop (Rechter Room)
Join us for a fashion and ensemble market inspired by the show New African Masquerades! Nashville artisans GoodKidRageWRLD, Puppy Witch, Threads by Dreads, Phoenix the Entrepreneur, Black Myth, MBellished Gifts, and Ashleigh Wilson will be in attendance with all of their wearable art to sell.
35-mm Keychains (Upper-Level East Foyer)
Join Safelight Imaging to create your own film-canister keychain with reused materials. Stop by and grab some film while you are at it!
Colorful Cameras (Studio A)
Color a vintage camera inspired by Paul McCartney Photographs 1963−64. Wear your new gear around your neck to become a fabulous photographer!
DIY Poloroids (Studio B)
Get your photo made with a retro Polaroid camera, inspired by Paul McCartney Photographs 1963−64! Then collage and decorate your photo in the studio to make it your own.
The Beatles Bingo (Upper-Level West Foyer)
Test your Beatles song knowledge in this friendly game of bingo! This activity is available on a first come, first seated basis. Winners will receive a music-themed prize!
Masquerade Performance: Tiwaniokay Hunters Society (Auditorium)
Come see masquerade ensembles come to life in this performance by the Tiwaniokay Hunters Society from Baltimore, Maryland.
Dancing Ribbon Wands (Studio C)
Create a dynamic and flowing ribbon wand inspired by the movement in New African Masquerades. Choose your ribbons and adorn your wand with beads!
Poetry Tour (Ingram Gallery)
Join Po’Boys and Poets as we explore the exhibition New African Masquerades through poetry. Poets Kenieha Boren, O’Mya Mosby, and Perris Johnson will choose their favorite artworks and respond to them via spoken word.
Multisensory Cart (Ingram Gallery)
Immerse yourself in textures, scents, and visuals related to the exhibition New African Masquerades. These interactive carts allow visitors to have a hands-on and up-close experience with the artwork!
Scavenger Hunt (Ingram Gallery)
Keep your eyes peeled as you make your way through the galleries—complete a scavenger hunt featuring works displayed in New African Masquerades to claim a prize!
