Grounds Visits at Dyer Observatory

The observatory grounds are open Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., from March through November for free self-guided tours of the Star Chamber. All visitors must check-in at the office. There are times when the gate may be closed or the observatory is being used for a special event. If you are planning to visit the Star Chamber, please contact us or call ahead, 615-373-4897, to ensure that the observatory grounds are open for visitors.
