Growing Kids Educational Garden

The Growing Kids Educational Garden is designed to give children a greater understanding of where food comes from and what it takes to get it from seed to plate.

July Classes:
Pickin' Party: Picking vegetables, fruit and flowers to sell at the Franklin Farmers Market
Jr. Farmers: Be just like the farmers and sell veggies/fruits and flowers from your garden at the Franklin Farmers Market
Moo-ving On Out: A field trip visit to Bear Creek Farm
Don't Mess With Mother Nature: A lesson on why growing organically is better for both your body and the environment
Melon Mania: Watermelons, cantaloupes and pumpkins, oh my!
August Event:
Garden Party: Enjoy the taste of what you raised with garden goodies prepared by a special guest chef
While classes are normally scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, kids are welcome at their garde
