Heritage Day
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 04/13/2019
Visitors will be given the opportunity to SEE IT, FEEL IT, and TOUCH IT to discover what life on the frontier at Mansker's Fort and life on the plantation would have been like at the Bowen Plantation House during the 18th Century.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Plan to spend the day watching skilled demonstrators and artists, picnic or buy lunch from food vendors, and shop for unique items made on site or items in the gift shop at the Visitor's Center. Heritage Days is suitable for all ages. Many of the demonstrators offer hands-on activities. Included in the event are clay works, scrimshaw and engraving, leatherwork, woodworking, blacksmithing, live animals including chickens, sheep and goats, basket making, fiber arts, gardening and many more.
