On Friday, November 30, 2018, The Battle of Franklin Trust will once again display luminaries at dusk to honor the 10,000 casualties inflicted during the Battle of Franklin 154 years ago. And both Carter House and Carnton will be open free to the public.

The 154th remembrence of the Battle of Franklin will take place on November 30, 2018 at Carter House and Carnton. Thousands of luminaries will be displayed to honor the 10,000 casualties and both homes will be open free to the public. Come anytime between 5:00pm and 7:00pm to see the lights and the houses. A brief ceremony will start the event at Carnton and throughout the evening the names of the casualties will be read.

It is a great community event where adults and kids can learn about local history and its impact on Franklin and the entire country still today.

There is no charge for admission.
