Japanese Language Class (In-Person)

The Tennessee Language Center will host a 9-week Beginning Japanese class in-person for youth ages 11-15. The class will meet on Mondays, from 4-5:35 p.m., at 220 French Landing Drive, Nashville.

The learners in this class will be introduced to a very basic repertoire of words and simple phrases related to personal details and real-life situations. Practice will focus on building conversational skills within the topics that are relevant to teenagers’ daily lives such as school, family, hobbies, and shopping. The instructor will also guide learners in cultural exploration with activities designed help deepen the understanding of Japanese culture and compare and contrast it to their own.
