*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 09/27/2015
In partnership with the Vanderbilt Institute for Coffee Studies and Music City Baroque, we are presenting an afternoon of classical music and coffee.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
As you listen to the music of master composers, including J. S. Bach’s famous “Coffee Cantata,” enjoy a sample of expertly brewed coffee provided by CREMA, Coffee Roasters (while supplies last). The program will also include a brief talk by Dr. Ted Fischer, the director of Vanderbilt’s Center for Latin American Studies and the Institute of Coffee Studies, on the coffeehouses and culture of early twentieth-century Vienna, the world in which the artists featured in Postcards of the Wiener Werkstätte worked.
