Nature Strollers at Bowie Nature Center

Encourage your little one’s curiosity with nature and the outdoors! During the program, we will read a book, sing songs, play games, make a craft, and go on a child friendly hike. Each month there will be a new theme. No registration required!

April 17th – Butterflies – Butterflies are starting to flutter all around! We will read Waiting for Wings by Lois Ehlert, discuss a butterfly’s life cycle, play a game, make a craft, and then go on a short hike to look for butterflies.
May 15th – Snakes – Snakes slither and slide all through our park. Our book will be I DON’T LIKE SNAKES by Nicola Davies. We will learn all about snakes, get to see and handle a real live snake, make a craft, and go for a short hike.
