Play Like a Girl STEM+ Summit is specially designed for middle school girls eager to participate in hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in a fun and engaging atmosphere.
The day will be packed with inspiring TED-style lightning talks, fireside chats, makerspace workshops and hands-on demos, culminating in a STEM+ Challenge where teams of students will work alongside industry mentors and role models to ideate, solve and pitch solutions to real-world problems. Girls will explore a multitude of STEM careers and career pathways selected to pique varied interests, including robotics, computer programming, visual effects, biomedicine and cyber security.
Parents and educators will participate in programming uniquely tailored to them. In honor of Women's History Month, guests will enjoy a special dance party and dessert to end a day well spent!
This is not a drop off event and a chaperone is required for every group of girls participating.
