THE PLAYGROUND'S 10-MINUTE PLAY WORKSHOP

Whether you are a seasoned writer or trying it for the first time, we want to hear your voice! The Playgrounds 10-Minute Play Workshop is a great place to start! This workshop is for teens at all levels of experience. If you've already written plays and stories or if writing is brand new to you, this workshop will help you jump in and get started on your own 10-Minute Play.
In this one-day workshop, students will learn the basic structure of 10-minute plays and get the tools to start writing their own. Students will dive into writing exercises, create dynamic characters, explore imaginative worlds, share with each other, give open and empathetic feedback, and learn new ways to build their own compelling stories - all in ten pages or less! The workshop will include in-class writing assignments so students will need to bring their own laptop and charger to participate. (Please let us know if you need assistance with providing your own technology when you register.)Submissions for the 10-Minute Play Festival will open this fall!
