This program is for you if you feel as though your child is not ready to jump into a league yet, but has a basic foundation of skating already and has completed one of the following: G.O.A.L., Learn to Skate or Try Hockey for Free.
We will hold an equipment fitting for any player not having full hockey gear prior to our first ice session. Be sure to show up around 45 minutes prior to the start of the session in order to get equipment fitted properly before ice session begins.
We will put an emphasis on the core skating fundamentals along with a feel for the puck and general hockey knowledge. We will teach positions, concepts and rules for playing the game, all while continuing to build player’s competency in their individual skills.
This program is designed for boys and girls ages 4 to 8 years old who can skate on their own. This class IS NOT designed for players that have already or are currently in a Ford Ice Center House League.
*Those that have not completed an introductory skating or hockey program should first complete either G.O.A.L!, Learn to Skate or a Try Hockey For Free program before registering for PREDecessor.
