PREVIEW NIGHT at The Covenant School
If your student is heading into 5th or 6th grade soon, Ignite Preview Night is your chance to see the program firsthand. What Is Ignite?
Fifth and sixth grade mark a turning point. Kids start listening to their friends as much as their parents, and Ignite was built around that shift instead of against it. Through advisory groups, the Ignite Leadership Lab, and an early fall retreat at Deer Run Camp, students learn to be self-aware, work through conflict, and build real friendships with peers and teachers.
Classes move into a discussion format. Students take on bigger projects, sharpen their writing across every subject, and learn to back up their thinking with evidence instead of just summarizing. It is the bridge between elementary school and the responsibility that comes next.
