Come out to hike the trails of Radnor Lake State Park! Our guide for this hike is Dr. Robert Loeb of the Pennsylvania State University.

The hike at Radnor Lake will introduce the ecological place of weeds in the woodlands of a Natural Area.

Through a hike around Radnor Lake, you will observe the common ecological positions of weeds in the diverse forests of the Natural Area. Scientific terms including, alien species, weed species, and invasive species will be contrasted in regard to the flora of Radnor Lake. Weed control efforts at Radnor Lake will be reviewed. Also, a spirited discussion will be held to give deeper meaning to the efforts focused on weeds in regard to woodland ecology.

Bring water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and be prepared to have your comfortable ideas about weeds challenged!

Reservations are required and start on Sunday, March 12  at 9:30 AM and close on Thursday, March 17  at 5:30 PM.
