See first-hand chemical reactions and create some of your own. Learn the science of combustion and chromatography, all while making new friends!
Mini Med-School (Anatomy & Biology)
Paging all doctors, nurses, and medical professionals! This week you’ll dissect sheep hearts, sheep brains, and fetal pigs. It’s a unique opportunity to not only examine individual organ systems, but also investigate how these organ systems work together. In addition to understanding how the body functions, you’ll learn scientific techniques used in health sciences. Get ready to pull out your scalpel!
CSI Nashville (Forensic Science)
This week finds the fun in forensics! Covering everything from DNA to logic puzzles, come explore the problem-solving power of science and technology when it comes to solving mysteries. Work on a “criminal” investigation, get hands-on with our powerful microscopes, and learn the art and science of fingerprints.
Bits, Bytes & Bots (Robotics & Engineering)
ScienceQuest carries on its tradition of robotics fun this summer! From basic engineering to DIY electronics, you’ll explore the world of technology and engineering design. Program Arduinos, design and build model robots, and experiment with motors and battery power. Activities are tailored to campers’ age and expertise, providing unique experiences for all levels of knowledge.
Music City Science – Transit Adventures
(for rising 7th, 8th, or 9th graders)
Adventure Science Center offers a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience designed to promote independence and confidence in your adolescents while taking advantage of Nashville’s unique cultural and academic landscapes. This specially designed program for youth combines leadership development, science education and environmental stewardship in one exceptional experience! Transit Campers start each day at the Science Center where they select destinations, plan their route, choose the day’s team leader, and then head out on MTA buses with two of our trained ScienceQuest staff to explore the sights and sounds of Music City, USA.
