Summer History Camp

A 5-day camp for kids who love the outdoors and history! Learn about all people who lived in the 1800s and during the Civil War through games, activities, and touring historic places.

SUMMER HISTORY CAMP 2020 WILL BE HELD JULY 13-17!

Schedule for 5-day camp:

9:00am-3:30pm Monday and Tuesday at Carter House. Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday at Carnton.

$300 per camper.

Ages 8-12

Learn:

  • How to look up your family history

  • About the history of Carter House and Carnton

  • About the history of Franklin

  • About Negro spirituals

  • The marching commands of the Civil War

  • How to perform an archaeology dig

Visit Sites all around Franklin:

  • McLemore House

  • Old, Old Jail

  • Special Collections at the Williamson County Library
