Preparation and Course Descriptions:
6-9 year olds: Actors will prepare a one-minute monologue to be familiar with on the first day of the week and over the course of the camp will learn preparation and memorization techniques and gain audition prep information. Every student will have individualized work time as well as the ability to audit and learn from other participant’s time on stage. We will go over tips for monologue selection, preparation and how to combat nerves! Midway through the week, performers will bring in a physical copy of their Headshot/Previous Experience while learning about the logistics of auditioning. The course will culminate in a mock audition for the teachers and guest artists from the Nashville Theater community. This course helps students prepare for auditions as well as providing general skills and techniques in acting.
